The Quad County African American Chamber of Commerce began in August 1993 after several African American business leaders recognized the need to have a business organization that addressed issues impacting the African American business community. A Board of Directors governs the Chamber. In 1993, the Chamber began with 16 members. Since that time the Chamber has hosted seminars, and workshops to meet the business needs of its members. The Chamber has also hosted a Heritage Dinner to recognize the accomplishments of business leaders in the community.
